Lejo is a GST billing and invoicing application operated by Rudham Software Private Limited. We know the information you put into a billing app — your customers, your prices, your turnover — is sensitive, and we treat it that way.
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and who we share it with when you use our website or the Lejo app. By using Lejo, you consent to the practices described here.
01Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide while creating and using your Lejo account, including your name, mobile number, email address, business name, GSTIN and business registration details, along with the invoices, products, inventory, customer and staff records you enter into the app. We also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, cookies and usage analytics to keep the service secure and to improve it.
02How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to operate the Lejo app — to create your account, verify your mobile number and GSTIN, generate GST invoices and e-way bills, sync your data across your devices, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, meet our legal and tax obligations, and send you service communications about your account.
03SMS, WhatsApp and Email Communications
When you register a mobile number with Lejo, you consent to receive transactional messages from us over SMS, WhatsApp and email. These include one-time passwords (OTPs) for login and verification, invoice and e-way bill notifications, payment and account alerts, and important service updates. These are transactional messages necessary to deliver the service you have signed up for. We send them through registered communication providers in accordance with TRAI regulations and the DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) framework, using headers and templates registered to us. We do not send promotional messages to numbers registered on the DND (Do Not Disturb) registry without separate consent. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time by emailing info@lejo.in; note that transactional messages such as OTPs cannot be disabled while your account is active, as they are required to keep it secure.
04Your Business Data
The invoices, customers, products and records you create in Lejo belong to you. We act only as a technology service provider that stores and processes this data so the app can work. We do not use your business data for any purpose other than delivering the service to you, and we do not share it with other users or businesses.
05Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal or business information. We share information only with the service providers who help us run Lejo — cloud hosting providers, SMS and email delivery partners, payment gateways, and government systems such as the GST Network where required to verify a GSTIN or generate an e-invoice or e-way bill on your instruction. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a competent authority. Every such disclosure is limited to what is necessary and is subject to confidentiality obligations.
06Data Security
We use appropriate administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. This includes encrypted communication, secure authentication, access controls, regular monitoring, and routine backups of your data.
07Cookies
Our website and app use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, maintain secure sessions and understand how the service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working as intended.
08Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as required afterwards to comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for a legitimate business or legal purpose, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
